The clubhouses provide a place to come for a sense of belonging, acceptance, and friendships...

 

The Chrysalis Foundation operates clubhouses in Person and Chatham counties. A clubhouse is a psychiatric rehabilitation program that provides a place where adults with severe and persistent mental illness can live and work independently in the community.

The Four Guaranteed Rights to Clubhouse Membership

  • The right to a place to come
  • The right to meaningful work
  • The right to meaningful relationships
  • The right to a place to return

Mental Illness typically isolates individuals from society. The clubhouses provide a work-ordered day along with acceptance, friendships, and repeated opportunities.

The clubhouses offer:

  • A place to come six days a week
  • Support through a circle of friends
  • Opportunities to gain confidence through a work-ordered day
  • A range of employment opportunities
  • Access to housing
  • Supported education
  • Evening and weekend social/recreation programs
  • Community support services (case management)
  • 13 affordable meals each week
